Do Nikon DSLRs get cheaper?

Do you think the Nikon D3100 will get cheaper in a few months? It's approx. $600 now. I want to get it when it's around the $500 mark.

Currently, the D3100 can be had for $550, and that is probably as cheap as it is going to get, until a new model is announced and released 1-2 years from now

You could find one around 500 second hand

Since the D3100 "replaced" the D3000, you'll find the latter at the $500 mark where stores are clearing them out. Don't expect the D3100 to drop until a newer camera at that level appears.
