Displaying pictures right away on a monitor?

I'm doing my first photo shoot with a Nikon D5100.Is there any way to display the pictures on a tv screen right after they are taken? I will be taking pictures of nearly fifty people and I'm sure they'd want to see how their photo looks before it is printed. Are there any other alternatives than them just coming over and looking at the camera display?

Not on a TV screen but possibly on a computer screen. If, and that's the question "if" your camera is equipped for tethering then yes to the computer screen.

Read your owner's manual and look for "tethering". If you have it you can display a still photo (in some rare cases video) on your screen within a second or two after it's taken.

If not then load your photos from your memory card to computer to flash drive and do usb on your flat screen HD TV - the only ways to do it.

Tethering is a very limiting.

I just shoot everything and then when finished, copy all of them to my computer. Once there, the people can see all of them they want.

The problem with tethering is that you have to wait for the image file to write to the computer (NOT a TV) before being able to take the next shot.

Yes you can if you are using a LCD/LED TV. Just use your memory card into a card reader then you can directly watch the pics in TV. Another thing you can do. If your camera has a AV port, then just use an AV cable to watch pics at your TV. Because every type of TV contains at least 1 AV port.

Research on tethering software. Another option is the Eye-Fi. Computer, not TV though.

There are a nube rof programmes which you can run on a computer which will allow oyu to connect a camera via USB to the computer and to control the camera from there, including showing immediately any picture taken. However, not all cameras have the ability to be tethered so first check your camera and then make sure any software you purchase is compatable to your camera.

Adobe Lightroom can be used for tethering with many cameras, I like to use NK Remote for tethering my Nikon cameras. There are many other programmes to choose from- do your research and choose the one that suites you best- then at the shoot you can connect the camera to to a laptop, take your picture and immediately show it to the person it has been taken of. Of course a practical limitation is the length of the USB cord meanig that is the furthest you can gp from the PC, though some of the newer cameras have built in Wi-Fi or have the capacity to attach a Wi-Fi unit to it allowing it to be connected from a much further distance and making it much easier to work with when tethered
