Canon T3, Nikon J1, or Nikon D3100?

I need a camera for a school photography class. Which camera would be better? I also use it for when I travel.

Defiantly Nikon D3100. I have one and I love it. I go to school for photography too and it's a great and efficient camera for all my assignments. It has amazing image quality and everything.

D3100 and a T3 are very similiar.both are full feature and both are 720 HD

J1 is more for simple, novice users.

I would see about D5100 or T3i

Sony Alphas DSLR are great as well!
