Which one has more lenses available. I mainly want one that is compatible with a fisheye and wide angle lens. Or do they both have those available?

Both have those options.

Canon actually has a larger selection of lenses. Understand they aren't cheap because most are very high quality glass and that is expensive to make so it's expensive to buy.

At this time, only Nikon has a fisheye lens for their camera system.

Both Nikon and Canon have over 60 different lenses to choose from.

NOTICE: The new Canon fisheye zoom will not be available until at least March 2011. No other fisheyes are made for the Canon Rebels.

Nikon has a 10.5 mm fisheye that can be used on the D3000

What you may want to do is raise your budget a little and look at the Nikon D3100 or Canon 550D/T2i. They provide more features than the rock bottom entry level D3000 or Rebel XS for not much more money
