Can't view photos on my nikon d3100?

After i edit i can't see it anymore? Why is that?
also do you think editing photo is photography cheating? Thanks!

Any editing / renaming / moving or anything else done to the photo on the memory card usually means the camera won't be able to display it. A camera is not a file viewer. Computer is.

If you edit your photo images in the computer, then try to reload then back on the camera's memory card, it won't work. You've changed some of the information in the digital file, and your camera is designed to only read photos as they are shot by the camera itself.
