Can i connect an audio technica at2020 usb mic to my dslr camera?
I'm buying the audio technica at2020 usb condenser microphone to use with my computer. However i have the nikon d3100 dslr camera, and i just was wondering is the mic would work connected to the camera as well, as an alternate audio source than the built in one on the camera?
It will not work with your camera. You really should consider getting a digital recorder for the camera recording - see this link:

This unit will allow you to record any audio and download the file to your computer. Many people use these for video - you record the audio and then synch it up with the video in software after. It will give you much better sound than the camera's own mic.
Daniel K, what you said is not true, there are a plenty of videos on youtube how you can connect USB microphone to SLR camera, the trick is that Microphone needs to be USB+ version, which has headset monitoring, and with 3.5inch to 3.5 inch jack you connect monitoring to SLR mic in, and you have it.
