The D90 can use any Nikkor AF, AF-I or AF-S lens.

Nikon lens, nikon camera.hmm… I can see how that might confuse you… Tricky… After some personal experiments I can assure you that, strangely enough, a Nikon AF lens works well on a Nikon AF camera.

Yes, it will work perfectly. But be aware that it's an unstabilized slow telephoto lens. You will have a hard time achieving sufficient shutter speeds for a steady shot without a tripod in anything but bright sunlight.

Get the stabilized version of it, the one with VR in the name. It's worth every extra dollar.

Absolutely! The D90 has an AF motor so all AF lenses will work. Btw, the lens is excellent so get it!
