Can a camera take photos without lenses?
I know this is a stupid question, but I'm thinking of getting Nikon D7000 only the body, without lenses for now so I was thinking can you take photos only with the body?
The camera might be able to mechanically take the picture if you push on the shutter release button but they will be so out of focus without the lens that you won't be able to tell what you took a picture of. Example: If your eyesight is very bad and you remove your glasses what happens?
Haha
If you really think this, you are not yet ready to own such a camera.
You need to take at least a beginning class in photography to understand how to use a fully adjustable camera
The D7000 is an excellent dSLR but it will require you to have a lens in order to use it
I'm not familiar with the Nikon D7000, but most DSLRs have a lens interlock and will no allow taking photographs without a recognized lens in place. Exposing the sensor without a lens is sure to get dust on it and not recommended.
If you are buying the body only just to save money, then I would suggest you wait a year or two for the prices to come down or you may be able to get a secondhand one with a lens.
Lense just focus the image on sensor. So without lense your sensor might take what it see in the open non focused world
