I have had a NIKON D60 before from JESSOPS… Getting to know the camera was fun but now i dislike it coz of some stupid features it should have. Anyways, M thinking of buying a NIKON D90 when i get the money… Is it worth buying it from stores like JESSOPS when one can find it cheaper on eBay, Amazon etc? Guys, hell me out? Or give me some sites where i can buy it safer and cheaper.

I would avoid buying a camera via ebay at all costs. You simply do not know how the camera has been treated and so faulty goods are a real possibility. I would be more comfortable with Amazon, if this is from the store and not the 'Market place', though this is clearly more risky that buy from a high-street store.

Depending on the savings, with something like a camera I would always opt for a high street seller so you can return for advice and confront someone face to face if you have any problems. The alternative is to submit tickets, emails and be waiting on calls where you need to repeat the waiting game as you diagnose the issue.

The savings for me to opt for the on-line route would need to be in the hundreds.

Make sure you buy all this kit with a credit card, as many banks offer some security and insurance if used.

they have a lot of great deals and at the cheapest prices. And I'd never buy from jessops unless they had a really good deal.

they over charge for everything

The D90 is an astounding camera- and it will likely come down a bit in price now that he D7000 is out. Buy it new- you have no idea what it's been through used. And don't forget- camera shutters are only rated for a certain number of firings, so you might be buying one that is nearing its end. There's also the issue of warranty- not a small thing is something goes wrong. If you are really into photography (and it sounds like you are), then pay for the quality of a new camera.
