Blowing glitter picture?

I want to take one of me and my friends blowing glitter would any glitter work or what if I used confetti? And what settings on ym dslr should I set my camera to? I have a d3100 NIKON

It sounds like you don't know how to use your camera at all. If you want the glitter to freeze in the air, take it on Shutter mode and choose a fast shutter speed and do it outside so that it can be as fast as possible. If you want it to be whispy in the air and lower the speed. The angle of the shot will affect the shot as well.
