Best online FREE picture editor?

I just got a new SLR camera. Its a nikon D3100. I'm in search of the best free online picture editor out there. The efets on like picnik are really ameture looking and i want to know what you guys think is a really good picture editing site/downloadable softwear. Something that won't give me viruses or popups. I just want to profesionally edit my pictures.

I found this little picture editing company not long ago
and I've been helping promote them because I've been talking
to their owner. You should check 'em out. I've bought 6-7 picture edits
from them and they're pretty good!

Oh, and only reason I'm promoting them is because
they just made a Facebook, but apparently none of 'em
are familiar with it and it's ways, so they've been getting trouble getting
likes and stuff. Because none of 'em attempt to get 'em. Right now they got
0 likes, haha. They don't promote themeselves much.
