Best Automatic flash for a Nikon d3000 under $200?

I recommend the Nikon SB-600.It's a slightly older flash but a real workhorse. It will work great with your D3000 and is right in the budget range you're looking for, especially if you buy one on eBay. I'm a professional photographer and while I use the newer (and much more expensive) SB-900, I still have three SB-600 models I use for portable strobes when I want to shoot on location somewhere and they work great. Lots of pros still use this flash and it's a great bang for your buck!
