Any idea about the Nikon D90 successor?

Halabi

Nikon D90 was officially discontinued about 12 days ago.
Are there any news about the successor for this camera and release date? And will it be sold for the same price?

Added (1). Guys the D7000 IS NOT the successor of the D90! I know it's out but they're not the same class, many people thought it's the successor

Hope soon. By the way will the price drop or it will increase

The successor is already out and has been sold side-by-side with the D90 for a while. Look at the excellent D7000.

Here's some reviews for you.

I don't expect one. We've got the D5100, the D7000, next up is a D300s replacement

The D7000 is actually the technical successor to the D90, even if it is $300 more.

you could say that the D5100 is the successor, but its an entry level camera.

If the D7000 is not the successor, what do we call it? There's still no other newly released Nikon DSLR that is a closer upgrade of the D90 other than the D7000.

If you are looking for the same class, then Nikon should not have discontinued D90.It's a fine camera.
