Advantages & Disadvantages Of Nikon D3100? What About 18-55mm AF-S Zoom Nikkor Lens?
It's a great entry level camera to start with. You can learn almost everything you need to know with it.
It can take magazine quality photos if you take the time to learn how to use it.
I have a nikon d3100 and the picture qualities are amazing.
its all HD. And once you start to play with it you will find really cool settings for you to take cool pictures. Now it comes with a lens and its okay, the zoom isn't "super good" but if you are a beginner then it should be okay! Also if you are just using this camera to take pics and not for example i use it for school projects then it might be difficult at first.
Now i left a youtube link down there. I recorded that and thats how the video quality is when you upload it to youtube from a editing software. But if you just record videos and will save them on your computer they will look sickly amazing!
So yeah the nikon d3100 is pretty good!
It is a good entry level DSLR. The primary disadvantages is that it lacks a few features, such as ability to focus AF lenses, and ability to act as a remote commander for Nikon's flash units. With this camera, you need to stay with AF-S lenses if you want autofocus to work.
If you don't need those features, then the D3100 would be good for a first DSLR.
The 18-55mm lens is an entry level lens, and although not the best lens, it is on par with the 18-55mm lenses offered by other manufacturers.
