About Nikon D5100 Lenses?

I have a nikon d5100, i wanna get a new nikon d7000… I would like to know if i can use the same motorized lenses in a d7000?

Keep the D5100 and buy new lenses for it. Going from the D5100 to a D7000 isn't much of an upgrade. All lenses that are compatible with the D5100 are also compatible with the D7000.

The lenses will work but you are wastig your money. The bodies are similar and you are not going to see a difference. Get really good lenses. Amateurs don't think enough about the lenses.

Why do you want the D7000? It does offer much more, but image quality won't improve, it'll only look better at higher ISO slightly. They use the same sensor.
And you can use the same lenses, in fact you can use even more lenses, like the ones that don't have an AF motor built in. With the D5100 they wouldn't auto focus, but with D7000 they will.
