A career like or close to this description?
I use to want to be a wildlife biologist because I would love to travel and be with the environment/animals. Before/during/after that I wanted to be some type of photographer because I noticed I really loved to take photos of nature & landscape. But then not long ago I changed my mind and wanted to be a paramedic because I wanted to help people. I'm in a teen age where I keep on changing my career but I really want to figure out what I want to be. Please TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ THIS AND NOT JUST READ THE QUESTION AND ANSWER LIKE OTHER DUMB PEOPLE WOULD DO:/ Thank you.
okay, so this is how I had it in mind. Pretend I'm in an adult age. EXAMPLE: I go travel with a friend to… Haiti! & I go take really good and meaningful pictures of their land and people. Then I come back to US And go to states/cities around. And… Go to a sidewalk where people advertise, talent, etc. And I'm there in a stand or something of some sort and have a television showing a really nice slideshow of what's going on in haiti to let people donate money on a.bucket? To help them. Then I go back to haiti and donate 100% of the money for food, shelter, clothes, toys, etc. The only problem will be that I won't get no money to travel or to live if I go on something like that… But as you notice, its traveling, photography, & helping people/environment.
Is there any kind of career like that or something close to but I can make money? Because if I had a choice to do it without EVER being payed, I would, but I wouldn't even be able to purchase one plane ticket, you know? & right now I'm saving up for a d90 nikon camera since I love photography and have been. So please if you can help me it, will mean A LOT TO ME! Thanks!
Added (1). I as just setting haiti as an EXAMPLE. Someone would hve said the same thing if i chose a city from US And someone would be like "why not around the world, not just usa So it was just an example okay.
There are two ways to accomplish what you want:
1) Get a high paying job where you can afford to spend your own time and money doing those things… Similar to http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/
2) Develop your photography skills and get a job with a missionary. They will pay for your travel/food/ housing but you will not make very much money (if any at all).
Instead of worrying about Haiti, why not try to help out your local inner cities to start with. For example in the USA, there are millions of people who need help as much as the Haitians. Then once you build a name for yourself, then spread out your efforts worldwide.
Why not just use some of the money donated to help in buying the plane tickets and the basic needs that you have in order to keep the charity running? Pretty much every charity in the world works this way, as long as you're not pocketing money to do ridiculous things such as stay at 5 star resorts and get driven around in a limo it's still highly moral if it allows you to continue helping people.
you will probably find the hardest thing to do would be to get people involved, your best bet is to probably send in letters to all types of companies telling them what you plan on doing and ask for their support as they often have large quantities of money they have put aside to put towards charitable causes.
