Nikon SLR Cameras

An SLR camera that's under $600?

I want either a Nikon or a Canon I think. And at my local Wolf Camera shop I think there are some Nikons for somewhere around $400. What kind do you suggest and are there any kinds that are under $600?

Wolf Camera's is a joke. Not a real camera store. Never seen a new Nikon D-SLR for under $500. But you can look at a Nikon D3000 or Canon Rebel. Both good entry level cameras.

Don't fall for a scam - don't, you'll be sorry. Most of these scams only want your credit card number.

I own two Canon dslr cameras, the Rebel XS and the t1i and they're both excellent. For your budget I'd recommend the XS at $500 with a lens.

Here's an excellent store that most of us regulars here use - I shop here all the time.

You can't go wrong with the canon rebel… Avoid Wolf Camera at all costs! Try B&H photo video or amazon…

Here it is, the Canon Rebel WITH 18-55 mm lens for 449.00. I have the Rebel also, a few more MP than this one but the same thing for the most part and I LOVE it. You can buy more lenses later at best buy for a great price also. The 18-55 lens will get you started. No matter which one you buy though, take the time to read the manual so you aren't dissappointed with your results.

Nikon D3100 or Canon t2i. The Nikon is slightly cheaper, so you might be able to get it with two lens kit for your price range. Both cameras are great, Nikon makes more sense to me since it's cheaper and has continuous auto focus in video mode.
