Do I need a lens adapter?
I just ordered a Nikon 55-300 lens for my Canon T2i and I'm not sure if the lens is compatible with the body. Do I need an adapter for the lens to fit the camera? If so, then what would be the best and cheapest adapter?
You're definitely going to need an adaptor, as the mounts are different. You might try this one found on Amazon. $15.00
Just curious, why buy a Nikon lens for a Canon camera?
Bill is right, you'll definitely need a lens adapter, Canon and Nikon lenses have completely different mounts.
Why would you do that?
return the lens and get the Canon 55-250 or 70-300
Yes, you can buy a Nikon F to Canon EOS adapter. But it would be a lot cheaper to return the lens and get a Canon 55-250 IS.
I agree with the above comments.
Return it and get a canon lens.
You I don't think you will even have a functioning auto focus using a Nikon lens via adapter.
