All dSLR cameras have interchangeable lenses, so that makes it easier
cannons shoot cannon balls, so that means all you have to do is look at Nikon cameras like the D3200, less than $700

If you misunderstood those you consulted look at the Canon T3i/600D, also under $700

You really need to visit the Nikon and Canon websites and read about those cameras.

Also you need to visit DP Review and read the professional reviews on those two cameras

Finally you need to look on DXOmark and see how the sensors of those cameras perform

Once you have done all your independent research, visit a proper camera shop. And hold them in your hands

Canon T2i, T3, T3i

Canon Customer Service will talk to you, and mail you brochures on various cameras (800) 828-4040

Sam's Club always has at leaset two specials on Dslr cameras with the sandard 18-55mm lens and a 70mm or 75mm to 300mm zoom lens. Sam's gives you the discounts at the time of sale, while Best Buy offers the same equipment. But you have to pay the full price and wait for mailed in rebates to arrive.

You know two manufacturers, can't spell one of them, and want a DSLR with interchangeable lenses?

All current DSLRs have interchangeable lenses, but you'd be better served finding out what a DSLR is, who makes them, how much they cost, and whether or not you actually need one.

Anyone who can't spell, 'Canon,' is unlikely to be able to answer the basic questions above.

Shame on you! You need to do the leg work first! You need to go out to camera shops or places they sell DSLR's and handle them. Look through them. Make believe you are taking pictures. Focus, handle the camera. Find the one which is comfortable for you to view through, locate the buttons. Then check the web sites. Just enter http://canon.com same for Pentax and Nikon. Read about their lenses and what they are recommended for and pricing. Check out B&H Photo.com or Adorama.com for "street" prices.

Now throw out my answer, unless you want to know what is best for YOU!

2 yrs ago, when I reentered the DSLR market. I decided on the Pentax brand (latest is Pentax k-30). Why because I could see through the camera comfortably! Secondary reason was that the stabilization feature was/is built into the camera body not EACH lens! And the fact that I could use lenses from years past on the camera for obvious economy reasons! If you decide on Pentax I recommend buying with the 50-200mm lens. The lens and the 50-200mm make an ideal outfit to start out with and runs about $800.00.
