I'm new to photoGRAPHY… And i use to do photography by my compact digital camera But now i want to upgrade to a Dslr camera… So i was thinking to buy Canon 550D or Nikon D90 And then Nikon D7000 launched and made me confuse… So Can i start by Nikon D7000? Is it will be easy to use D7000 for a beginner? Who has never used a Dslr or i should buy another Dslr Or wait for any other Dslr launch? Please Help Me OUT… I want only to enjoy photography Not as CAREER

Of course you can. No mater which fully adjustable camera you choose, all the skills are the same to choose a proper exposure.

The D7000 just has a lot more features for you to learn how to use, but you don't have to know how to use them day one or even year one.

The cool thing about the D7000 is it also has a Full HD video feature and can auto-focus in the video mode, something other cameras (other than its little sister the D3100) can't do

You may enjoy this little video shot with the D7000

Notice how well it produces images in low light.

Yes after a little practice a beginner can use that camera but I'm going to tell you righ now it is a waste of your money to go with that camera if you are not an avid user or professional. Go with the Nikon12.3-Megapixel D5000 Digital SLR Camera. Yes you lose a few megapixels but I'm going to tell you the truth - 12 megapixels is all an average user will ever need to get a perfectly clear picture. You also lose a tad bit of speed but not enough to where you would even notice. It's a great camera and NIkon has the cheapest lenses. Also it does not have an optical stabilizer which is HUGE BUT all the lenses you would buy for either camera would have a stabilizer so you would be just fine. And one more thing you lose OVER HALF THE PRICE. Take it from someone who sells these things for a living.

Yes you can learn from a D7000. No problem. The controls are the same, any brand, any model. It wouldn't hurt either if you spent less on a Pentax K-x and enjoy the camera like a true beginner however.

The mode dial has a setting "Auto". There are advantages to using the more custom settings in many situations when you learn how, but that Auto setting can still take very good pictures most of the time.
