Digital camera, my photos comes out over exposured?

I have a Nikon P1, it's operating well all the way when I left it on the boiling hot ground not bewared, and then it won't works anymore, everything alright except can't take photos in broad sunlight, there's only shadows, white out! It still works indoor, I wonder if it can be fix again or it had broken down?

I'd call Nikon and get more info about it, but it's MOST LIKELY an over heated image sensor (the think in the camera that captures the picture), and It's fried. Try manually increasing the Shutter Speed, which will reduce the brightness.
