I'm just trying decide which one to buy. My question is, what's the difference between these lens? Other than the price.

All the "EX DG OS HSM" stuff throws me off. What does it mean?

The main difference between them is that the first one has Optical Stabilization (OS).

The first lens has Sigma's "Optical Stabilization" which is comparable to Nikon's "Vibration Reduction".

Here is a link to the Sigma site with an explanation of the abbreviations that are confusing you:

NOTE: "Lens" is singular. "Lenses" is plural. "One lens or two lenses?"
