Cheap SLR Cameras? Nikon, Canon or any other?

I want a good SLR camera but one thats not too pricey.
Can anyone give me a list?

Canon 1000D and Canon 1100D both are take good pics.
A little bit expensive but very good DSLRs are The Nikon D3100 and D5000 and Canon T1i ad T2i.
Also consider Sony A33

Since people have already suggested DSLRs (digital SLRs), I'll suggest some SLRs (35mm film), since that is your question.

You can get a Canon AE-1, Nikon F1, or Minolta SRT-101 in good shape with a lens for ~$125. The Nikon F5 is a nice camera but it is around $500 or if you want a new camera… The Nikon FM10 is $310 or professional series Canon 1V for $1, 700 or Nikon F6 for $2, 500.
