Can my rebel t4i lense fit on a 5d Mark III camera?

Simple answer - no, if your lens is an EF-S lens, The kit 18-55mm is an EF-S lens and like all the EF-S lenses, will damage your 5D Mk III if you mount it there. You'll have to buy new EF lenses for this full-frame camera.

Unlike Nikon, moving from crop to full-frame camera bodies makes your crop sensor lenses obsolete and unusable.

The T4i's EF-S lens will fit but will also damage the Mark III's reflex mirror due to the protruding rear end. No, not advisable. Use only EF-mount lenses with the Mark III.

Look at the lens alignment marker on the lens.
If it is a red hemisphere then that is an EF lens that you can use on a 5D
If it is white pyramid then it is an EF-S lens that can't be used on a 5D.

If it's an EF-S lens mount, then NO.

If it's an EF mount then YES.

Assuming you mean the kit lens for the t4i the definitely not as an ef-s lens would damage the mirror on the 5diii. The mirror on the 5d is large because it is full frame. Full frame is where the image sensor is similar in size to the old fashioned 35mm film. If you did not know this i don't think you should use the 5d as lack of knowlege may cause you to damage to what i assume is a borrowed camera

No idea what a Rebel t4i lens is. That's a camera.

The 5D Mk III will accept lenses that use the Canon EF mount.

If you're talking about the 18-55mm EF-S then, no.

Canon took the opportunity to develop a series of smaller, lighter lenses for their cropped-sensor models, which protrude too far into the body to be used on full-frame models like the EOS 5D series.

If you try, you'll have a VERY expensive repair bill.
