Nikon SLR Cameras

Can I return a DSLR camera that I already opened?

I bought it at Best Buy and was wanted to return it because I changed my mind about the camera at first I bought a Nikon, but decided i wanted to get the Canon instead. I already opened the box and used the camera lightly. Would there be a fee for returning?

Added (1). I've used Canon and Nikon and personally think they are both good quality cameras, but came to like Canons more. Just want to know if it's returnable.

As long is within the first 30 days, you can return it. Just bring your receipt just incase, if you don't have it but you paid in with a card, then its fine. And yes you can return it even if its open.

Yes, swap it for a Benq and learn what a truly bad camera is.

There's nothing wrong with a Nikon that learning to use it won't cure - and a Canon won't do anything the Nikon can't. If you really think there's a difference, then you deserve a Benq.

Stores very often do exchange goods without asking questions (goodwill, rather than being forced to by law), but if it was ME, my conscience would scream at me way too loud and too long.

I'm all for returning something that is defective, but I could NOT do that simply because I changed my mind, didn't research properly or didn't like a gift.

Returning stuff means costs, and NO store will simply absorb those costs.

So every person who simply returns stuff because they CAN, raise the prices for all of us - for the honest folk as well as the system-abusers.

Do YOU have a conscience like I do?

Best buy has a 14 day return policy on cameras

as long as you are within that 14 days, you should be able to return it.

Yes, best buy will let you return / exchange an item. The return policy used to be 14 days, but they made it to 30 days because people kept complaining! I actually just bought a canon DSLR as well as my sister, i got the t4i & she got the t3i.
Both GREAT camera's, basically the same except that the t4i came out in june & the t3i is last years model and the t4i is a touch screen. But i would defiantly recommend you taking in the nikon for a canon!
