Can I get a converter that will allow canon FD lenses to fit a nikon F fitting?

Yeah. It's called an FD lens adapter.
Most probably yes but will it be worth the bother? No.
Not worth doing.
The Canon lens can't fit within the Nikon body's mount. An adapter has to move the lens forward, and so it uses a correcter lens to make it possible to focus to infinity. These are always of inferior quality to the FD lens.
If you do find such an adaptor on sale, do not buy it. The image quality it offers, and the general practicality, will not be good. If the Canon lens is a zoom lens (not a "prime lens") then the optical quality of the combination will be even worse. That does not imply that Canon lenses are bad (nearly all are very good), simply that the combination is bad.
If you want lenses for a Nikon F, then buy them. They should be reasonably priced second-hand.
