Can any canon lens fit on any canon camera?

I just got this camera lens, EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Wide-Angle, and I have the Canon Rebel T3i. Will this lens fit on my camera? Thanks so much for helping! And is this camera lens good?

Mostly yes.

Any Canon EF lens will fit any Canon EOS 35 mm SLR or dSLR.

What can't happen is you can't use a Canon EF-S lens on any of the Canon full frame EOS cameras

While the 35 mm f/2 lens is a moderate wide angle lens when attached to a Canon 1D, 5D or 6D camera, it becomes nothing more than a "normal" lens on your T3i. That is because the sensor of your camera only "sees" the center portion of the light that the lens projects on to the sensor.

That means that instead of the lens seeing 63°, it sees closer to that of a 55 mm lens or about 43° 50"

Here is a simulator that will help you see what angle of views different lenses see.

I have yet to find a Canon webpage that has this data available.

EDIT: In 1988 Canon introduced the Canon EOS and make all the older Canon cameras and lenses obsolete (FD and FL)
