Buying a new Nikon Camera
Hi, I'm looking to buy a new DSLR camera, preferably Nikon. The price can range up to roughly £600-£700, and it includes both the body and the lens.
I think you can get a Nikon D5100 with a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Kit Lens for about £700. You can search for a D5100 on eBay.
If you can't find anything then I recommend a D3100 with the same lens. It usually comes together in a kit and it's maybe around £400. You can also buy just the body and get like a 35mm or 50mm f/1.8 lens separately, which should be around £200. Those lenses are way better than the kit lens. They can't zoom though.
With this price range Nikon 5100D will be best for you. It comes with kit lens of 18-55mm which is also a good lens. You should get this camera around £550. And rest of money you can buy another lens of 55-200mm for zoom.
Nikon mostly cameras come with above mentioned lens i.e 18-55mm. Company's never offer the products to their consumer which is not in good. Kit lenses are good lenses. These lenses are for everyday and everyone need photography.

Go with either the D3100 or D7000.In my view, the D5100 is not enough of a step up from the D3100 to justify it's additional price, and it is still an entry level camera lacking the features of the D7000.
So buy the D7000 or D3100 and perhaps a second lens or flash.
