Again; the L120 is an entry level point and shoot compact camera. It is not even close to a DSLR.

You need to learn what a dSLR is.

The fine Nikon L120 is NOT a dSLR, but an entry level P&S camera, fine for what it is.

A dSLR will cost about $650 for either a Nikon D3100 or Canon T3.

There's no such thing as a cheap DSLR, but there are some inexpensive ones (Rebel T3 and Nikon D3100). THe L120 is a decent entry-level P&S. Update - "Monkey" is a complete idiot.

I don't know what is cheap for you. $200 or $400?
And the L120 is not a DSLR camera its a point and shoot camera.

Nikon L120 is an point and shoot camera and not DSLR. If you are really serious about photography than go with a entry level DSLR such as Nikon D3100 or Canon T3.
