Any camera like Nikon 1 j1?

Is there any cameras out on the market that are like the Nikon 1 j1? I love that camera but it is far to expensive.

I'm also looking into the j1. Its considered a compact camera so look into target.com has serval compact cameras

Sorry, but:

1) You get what you pay for (Good quality is NOT cheap, cheap quality is not good)
2) The better the technology, the higher the price
3) Photography is NOT a cheap hobby or profession
4) You have to be rich to wear cheap shoes (buy cheap, buy often)

Do you understand what your saying? Do you know anything about EVIL cameras? Apparently not.
These are over priced, over rated and glorified point and shoot pocket toys that happen to change lenses and they don't even have a view finder - come on.

If you want to spend that much money and want a real camera look at a dslr from Canon or Nikon… Not this over rated pocket toy.

I assume by 'like' the Nikon 1 j1 you mean small body, interchangeable lens. This model is getting the most press thanks to the Nikon Ashton Kucher ad campaign. But there are other options. Sony makes the Nex series, Olympus their PEN systems and Panasonic has a whole line of Lumix Compact System Cameras (ILC). Most of these styles are referred to as four thirds cameras/lenses
If by far too expensive you mean the $600 + price tag you might be disappointed to find that none of these seem to break much below that mark unless you find them used or refurbished. Sony sell refurbs right from their website but you are still around $400 dollars. Also remember that each lens is going to set you back and you loose the benefit of an interchangeable lens camera if you only have one lens. Many of these cameras listed for sale at what appears to be significant discount include no lens.
If price more the issue than size and you still want digital and you still want interchangeable, you should shop DSLR cameras.
