A good type of camera?
I'm 15 year old and have some money saved up and i decided that with some of the money i would like to buy a digital camera that can also record video. I have been looking at cameras and i have no idea what brand is the best. I didn't know if cannon was good or if nikon was good. I don't want a professionalcamera that is crazy expensive. The most I can pay is 170$.So if you know any that are good can you please tell me? If you have a link that would help too.

I own a t1i and would agree. I'm finding it to be an excellent camera all around - about $650 with an
18-55 lens.
I would recommend the Canon ELPH 100 HS. You can find it for about $170-$180.It has pretty good image quality for its price and it can record videos in 1080p.

90% of digital camera's offer a video/movie recording feature these days and most are in the budget price range if you look hard enough.
