I'm in need of a type of a certain type of photography equipment?

I have a Nikon D3000 I need tethering software for this camera I called Nikon and they told me that this model number does now allow it however still researching I found this sight that says it is. How can i get more information on this or is it possible to still be able to tether photos from my camera!

Could be but I'd get in touch with the software maker to find out more before you buy.

Supposing you have a Mac and are willing to buy Aperture 3 if it works, you can start with their trial:

(Nikon offers their own Camera Control Pro 2 software, which doesn't appear to support the D3000. Adobe Lightroom, available for Windows, also doesn't support the D3000 for tethering.)

There may also be "hot folder" software available that can automatically download images from your camera. However, many of the examples I've searched for specifically don't support the D3000, just as Nikon themselves have stated.
