A good quality compact digital camera?

I'm looking for a camera that is easy and small to carry around. Something with good clear quality and that can take pictures fast. I would get those big Nikon and Canon cameras just for the quality but it would keep getting in the way since you have to take care of it like a baby: P The price range doesn't matter I just really want a camera.

The best would be the Fujifilm X100 at $1200, followed by the Leica X1 at $2000

for normal consumer cameras, the Canon G12, Nikon P7000, Canon S95, and Nikon P300
