A good camera for recording films?

I'm only 13 years old, and I need a good camera I could use for filming. I always film for school reasons and such, and my camera isn't that good for it. I want a camera with a good focus, and good lighting. I was thinking about getting a 14.1 megapixel camera, however, I'm using my own money to buy this, so it would be better if you recommended a camera below $150.00.

Also, can you guys explain what the optical zoom does? Does it control zooming in when you're taking pictures? How would it help me?

I want a camera that's simple to use, yet takes outstanding pictures. I was thinking about getting a Sony or a Canon. I like Nikon cameras, but they're a bit too pricey for me, haha.

Thanks!

Added (1). Okay, fine, maybe I'm being unrealistic here. No need to be harsh, honestly, you're not helping me. Considering that I'm 13 years old, I'm pretty sure I don't have a full time job that pays enough for me to get a $300 camera. If I did, I honestly wouldn't have put this question.

I'm not asking for that much. Just a camera with focus, really.

So, you want a camera that is easy to use, takes outstanding pictures, shoots video, but is dirt cheap? Not going to happen. If you want a high quality camera, you will need to spend at least $300.

I agree. If you'd have done done some research on line you'd already know the answer that quality isn't cheap, never has been.

If you want to spend cheap trust me, you'll get cheap and it'll probably break right after the warranty is up. These cheap cameras are like old cell phones - when, not if, they break you trash and replace.

I don't think Hondo was being sharp or harsh - just telling it like it is. Quality isn't cheap. And yes he is helping you because you apparently don't yet understand that you can't get anything of any quality without paying the quality price.

No were on earth will you find a Lexus at a VW price.
