What are some affordable cameras with good video and picture quality?

Hi, I currently have a Samsung TL205 and I absolutely hate it. It takes horrible pictures unless there's amazing lighting. I also would like the camera to have nice video quality, but I'm more concerned about the picture quality. I was looking into some nikon and canon cameras, but they were all very pricey. I'm looking between the price range of $100 - $200. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing in within your budget of $100 - $200 will produce brilliant image quality, especially in low light conditions.

If you just wanted a video camera, then you can find excellent Full HD cameras for under $150 with a 40x optical zoom, the it can't shoot amazing stills.

It may be that to get what you want, you will have to save your pennies until you have the necessary $700 to buy an entry level Nikon or Canon dSLR which can produce high quality still images and decent video if you are willing to add lighting whilst shooting indoors.
