Video Stabilizer for recording an amateur film?

Hi, I'm planning to film a short action movie that would require a lot of running and panning from the camera operator. I already have a tripod but I was looking around to see what tools there are to stabilize the film from hand movements.
I found 2:

Both have a slight difference in price. But that aside, which tool would be more ideal if I'm going to run with the camera?

For running have you considered a glide cam?

The old fashioned method is to just practice and rehearse the moves so that the operator can correctly anticipate how to handle the camera. Of course using a crutch makes it easier. No simple device is going to compensate for gyrations the operator makes while moving. Experienced operators have to practice how to move their entire body smoothly, not just the camera.

If the camera needs to move or - as you indicated, there will be running - the shoulder mount will not do what you want.

The handheld might, but if you are expecting high quality stabilization, use of a low-end handheld knock off is not going to deliver what this can

If the two on your list are all we can choose from, I would suggest the handheld unit. An arm support is very desirable - especially for long shooting days. Whomever is holding the camera needs to be working out NOW so when the time comes, they have strength to last for a while… The shoulder mount is OK if the camera does not move and the person using it does not need to breath much.

The vest with articulated, counterbalanced arm are what the pros use - for LOTS of reasons including the smooth camera shots we all appreciate.
