Nikon FM vs FM-10? Which one?

My boyfriend recently got into photography after playing around with my FM2. He bought an FM-10 and said it feels much cheaper and doesn't like it as much (FM-10s aren't made by nikon so they're pretty different). I saw a good condition Nikon FM on ebay and am SUPER tempted to get it for him, to get a much more solid feeling camera. Should I go for it?

I would. The Cosina made FM 10 isn't actually a bad camera, but I'd never have touched it in the first place.

I would go with Nikon FM-10.It has better review.

And I would not buy any camera from ebay. So many counterfeit items and returning your item is a hassle.

The FM and FM2 were two classic all metal bodied Nikon cameras. I have used and loved my FM. But the FM-10 might be better renamed the "FM Jr." as it was a plastic bodied camera made for Nikon by Cosina.

As for Ebay, I've had pretty good luck there. Be sure you get someone with 100% feedback and who will allow you to return the camera. I checked, and there are some excellent prices here.
