Nikon Digital Camera?

I'm looking for a Nikon that:
-Has a great, clear, powerful zoom (without extra lenses)
-Takes incredible pictures
-Isn't too too clunky/heavy
-Costs less than $450 (even if used before and in excellent condition)
-Is great for travel
-Can take videos

Any recommendations/suggestions?

There's no such thing as a great, clear, powerful zoom - made by Nikon or anyone else.

The more powerful the zoom, the more loss of quality you will have. It just depends on your tolerance for low quality images as to how powerful a zoom you can stand.

First there was the megapixel myth, now there's the zoom myth - just things developed by marketing departments to maintain their share of the shrinking compact camera market.

If you want something that takes the best photos, look for a compact camera with a 10-1 2megapixel sensor (or up to 16 megapixels if it has a BSI sensor), and around a 4x to 7x zoom.

Anything else and you are compromising image quality - and or other characteristics such as low light performance (which is not that great on most compacts anyway).

If you want the best photo taking compact, cameras that come to mind are the Nikon P310, P330, P7700 (any Nikon P series but the P5xx), Canon G15, Canon S110, and a few others.
