Nikon D5200 - A good camera for me?

If you know anything about photography/cameras, I could really use and appreciate your wisdom! For the work I'm stepping into for the music industry (promotions, designing, social media, etc), the time has come for me to finally invest in a good camera to show the world what I got. I want a camera that's really going to complement my image taking abilities and something that will provide me with crisp/impressive shots with decent detail to edit on Photoshop. I'll be using it to capture photos at concerts, entertainment events, press, little photoshoots for bands, etc. A camera that I was looking at was Nikon's D5200. I want to make sure that these pictures turn out as great as possible, and are pretty professional quality. The cameras I've used over the years have really taken away from my eye for shots, and I'd like to step up from that. For example: If I'm at a concert and take a picture of a band member on drums, the image would often come out quite blurry/smooshed from all the fast movements- which isn't awesome, haha. I really want something that will be more efficient and I can rely on for whatever I'm doing, wherever I'm. Do you think this camera would be a good way to go, and get the job done for what I'm looking for once I get in the swing of things? All feedback is appreciated!

The Nikon D5200 is a upper entry level camera. The results with it are only limited by your own abilities, or lack of.
I've had photos published using a Nikon D5000 & 18-55mm VR lens.

Yes, the Nikon D5200 is an excellent DSLR camera and the quality of the images you take will be based on the lens you have as well as your photography skills. I own a D5200 camera and I personally recommend it to you. I do photo shooting at sporting events, concerts, hiking, as well as at weddings and other special events. You should get some good lenses for it and you will be on your way for excellent shots. You should ensure that you begin with the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR NIKKOR Zoom Lens.
It is an excellent entry level and basic lens for you to have before thinking of getting wider angle lens.

Any dSLR can be made to shoot anything. It all depends on your ability. That means, picture quality will also highly depend on you.

If you don't understand why the drummer gets blurry then you should learn photography right after you get your dSLR. From there, you would be able to make that shot perfect but still smooshed at the same time.
