Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 or nikkor 50mm f/1.4?

Which one should I buy? The 1.4 is much more expensive. I don't know if I should buy it if I don't get much difference from the 1.8. Which would you buy?

I suppose it depends on your financial situation… If I had the money I'd buy the better 1.4… But if it will financially drain you and put you under pressure then I don't think one f stop is worth that.

I'd buy the 1.8 to save money. I used both and the difference between those two lenses is minimum. Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better. Those lenses are pretty much twins.
