Laser Autofocus on Speedlites?
Hi, i have a yongnuo Yn560 III, i've seen most professionals with canon or nikon speedlites, they use the speedlite's laser while focusing, so i was wondering if my speedlite has this feature and if it does then how can i turn it on?
From what I've read, it doesn't have this mode. It's designed as a remote flash so it doesn't have such on-camera capabilities. Check the various links.
Read the manual.
The feature is not laser but a red stripe or chequer pattern projected by the speedlite to assist focus.
If your gun has it then it is controlled from the camera. Look in the menu for "focus assist beam" - make sure it is turned on.
It's not a laser. It's a red LED.
It may not help but the Yongnuo YN622 (that's a transceiver not a flash) has AF assist. It's hacky but you could use that to trigger your YN560.
