I would like to make a feature film with nikon d5200 1080p after watching the mark iii and d5200 comparision on eoshd.
Previously many feature films made by canon 5d mark ii. Now I would like to do the same with d5200.
But is d5200 1080p really enough to make feature films?
What is the screen resolution in indian cinema theaters? And in IMAX?
I would like to release the movie in theaters in india which are using ufo/cube technology.
If d5200 does not support for thetrical release, let me know which one I should use?
My budget is definetly not with RED cameras.

You're joking?! Not even close! In HD you can only shoot 5 minutes at a time. This isn't a video camera. It is a still camera that has a video feature thrown in as an extra.
A camera that they use for movies cost over $150, 000.
What you want to do is impossible on such a tiny budget.

My first response is no. You can't make any kind of "film" with a digital camera. So if you're going to do this business at least get your terms in order. You can make a movie but not a film because the camera records video.

It's pretty obvious that Vinegar, although an email buddy of mine, doesn't understand movie making.
Feature length this camera will be fine. But it won't work on a theater screen, too large and too pixelated when presented. For showing on the average HD tv it'll work, I do it with short pieces all the time but not for the theater.

Second it'll take a long time given locations, shoot skills, lighting, script and many other factors.

Do you have an editor? Do you have lighting? Do you have any skill at all with a video camera?
If you answered no to any of these you need some help as in a course in this business.

The camera will do fine if you know how to properly operate it, how to light and how to edit. When shooting scripted movies prior planning is everything.
