Which should I choose?

I'm debating over getting a Nikon D3100 or Nikon D5100.
Both have similar functions although the 5100 has a higher resolution and the 3100 shoots video, even though this doesn't matter. What is your opinion on which you would choose and why?

Nikon D5100. Because the 5100 has a higher resolution.

Get the 5100.It is only a little more and has higher resolution. It is not a big deal, but for the price, I would get the higher MP.
