The Panasonic Lumix is NOT a DSLR camera.

Out of the others - the Nikon D60 isn't made any more - but you could pick it up second hand off eBay. I'm not sure the D3000 is for sale new either as it's been replaced by the D3100 (and D3200).

No vast difference between Canon. Nikon - either would do.

The one you like most. I would go for a cheap lower pixel count one, and here the D60 is a good choice. I have different cameras up to 24 mpix, but my preferred is the D40 with 6 mpix and as second for better work, the Fuji S5. On the walk and in town I use the NEX-7 because of the many uses in lenses and the manual focusing work. You can get a used or refurbished D60 for excellent prices, and if you find a good Sony DSLR, remember that you can use Minolta glass that is excellent, and can be bought for nuts on E-bay.

Either the Canon 400 or 450D or the Nikon D60
The used dept of BHphoto is a good place to look:-

All but the Panasonic.

The only way to choose a DSLR is to work out a budget, discuss it with a dealer and HANDLE the various candidates - choosing the one that feels best in your hands.

The Nikon D3000 is available (new) for silly prices at the moment - if you can track one down, the only DSLR on the list that is, as the D3100 and D3200 have now succeeded it.

While an excellent shooter, it lacks Live View (the ability to use the screen as a viewfinder) and video capability - I wouldn't miss either of those, but some people might.

I recommend Nikon D3000 due to its high image quality and its capability to shoot in extreme weathers. It is a 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens.
Here is a review of a professional photographer, i hope it will help your decision:

The Nikon D60 is a little old and the Panasonic is not a DSLR. Here is the two other, oldie but goodies, compared.
