Hey so i'm wanting to get either the 2 DSLR'S i've seen around, the first one would be the Canon Rebel T4i or the Recently released Nikon D3200.So all you photo-enthusiasts should help a fellow photographer out!

They are both excellent cameras. Here is a comparison.

Since I'm a Nikon guy, I'd recommend the Nikon. However, you need to handle each one and decide for yourself.

I possess a Canon T4i already. Bought Its an awesome camera. Works the best in natural light and brings out the true colors of the real life image you see thru your eyes. Its a gorgeous representation of what beauty you see and what appears on the LCD screen after you capture the shot.

Nikon always has a tendency to add a lot of sharpness and hence artificial colors to the existing image which makes it slightly downhill when it comes to the smoothness canon offers.

This is solely the reason I chose to buy the canon over nikon.

Its an awesome camera and wonderful when it comes to ease of use.

Buy the canon you're so gonna love it!

Gamer - I have owned both Nikons and Canons and they're both great cameras. I have shot with the T4i (liked it a lot) and still have my trusty Nikon D50 sitting on the shelf. I like both brands. That said, in my view, The T4i is a much better value for money right now at $649 with the kit lens at Amazon.

The touch screen and flip out LCD on the T4i are also very nice to have - once you use them, you won't want to go back to old-style fixed, non-interactive LCDs like the D3200's.

The D3200 is really not a good match for the T4i, though. A better match might be the soon-to-be-released Nikon D5200, which will at least have the flip-out LCD. Even though it's not available in the States yet, early adopters can have them shipped from Hong Kong for around $860.

Bottom line for me is that the T4i is about as good as an entry level DSLR gets - and at $649 on sale, I recommend you jump on it.

Hope this is helpful and best of the holidays,

The Canon T4i competes with the Nikon D5200. The D5200 is not yet available in the US but its been realized in Europe.

The Canon T4i is a more advanced camera than the D3200. The D3200 competes with the Canon T2i and T3i. However both are good bodies.

You really can't ask this question on here since anyone who owns a Canon will say choose the Canon. I shoot with Nikon Bodies and I'd say choose the Nikon. So your just going to get biased answers on here. Check out both at your local camera store. Play with all the menu's and features from both. Bring your own SD card and take photo's from both cameras and then look at the photo's at home. This will help you decide which is really better. Both cameras are great both can achieve the same results.
