Vignette problem on my Nikon D7000?

We had a pictorial at a studio yesterday. I used my Nikon D7000 and my Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens. At first it was fine but then the vignette slowly appeared on the side. We used flash trigger in the studio and set my white balance at 'flash'.

I don't know what's wrong. Is it the lens or my camera? Or probably just my settings?

That's not vignetting.

Two possible issues;
- you are not lighting evenly
- your shutter speed is starting to creep above the max sync speed for flash (check what it is in your camera manual, but it's usually around 1/200 sec) so you are seeing the beginnings of the second shutter curtain closing across the frame.

Edit: Ah yes I see from the EXIF data that your shutter speed was 1/320 sec. If you are using radio triggers to fire the studio flashes, I've found that on occasion, these do better with syncing when the shutter speed is below the max (ie if the quoted max is 1/250 sec, I've found that sometimes 1/200 sec is needed).

It isn't vignette… You just need to improve on your lighting technique… The flash set up/positioning you used isn't covering the left side as well in your shot, I don't know how many flash units were used… You could try positioning the units differently for a better spread of light or add another unit to cover the shortage.

Deep blue2 is right. Normally if there's a TTL connection between the flash and the camera, the flash will tell the camera it is there, and the camera will not let the shutter speed go beyond the x-sync limit, even in manual mode. However, your flash set up does not have that feedback, allowing you to make a wrong choice.

Starter for 10. D7000, back screen vignetting, in live view and menu mode. Ghost show through of menu screen mode during Live View. Ghost image of picture review menu at bottom when scrolling menus and high lighted by cursor. Upgraded firmware to 1.04 and 1.05. Reset settings no change. Question: Will a new screen fix this? I am thinking the vignetting yes but what about the ghost images? Could this also be a processing board problem? All the best!
