The Nixon has some good qualities. It has all screen shooting ability and can shoot in the dark with clear shots.
I'd say that the N200 is best though. It has rapid motion shooting and can shoot from all angles ranging from 30-330º

Don't

The D2x is a so called Pro version of the D200.It is old.

If you want to upgrade, buy a Nikon D300.It still provides amazing images and does well in low light

Why not? Go ahead if it makes you happy.

The Nikon D2x is an upgrade for the D200 mainly in FPS and overall ruggedness. The D200 is a 10.2mp 5fps camera. The D2x is a 12.8mp 8fps camera. You gain frames per second. An alternative might be the D300 or D300s (available for about the same price as a D2h. The D300 series is 12.3mp 6fps camera that's capable of 8fps with AA batteries in the Nikon battery grip. The sensor of the D300 is much better in low light and It's definitely a step up. In fact, after getting my D300, my D200 has hardly seen any use.

Just a thought, the D2x uses a proprietary battery that's bulk, expensive, and is not shared buy other Nikons expect for the D3 pro series cameras. IF your primary use would be sports or action photographer, then it may be a good choice. For portrait, landscape, or other general photography, there are perhaps better choices.

A second consideration would be the Nikon D7000, a major 16.2mp 5fps upgrade.
