Are you asking about the information that is displayed on your LCD?

You really need to know that data as you take more and more photos and attempt to enhance your skills.

I hope you know that none of that will be on the actual image file.

All digital cameras have such data on the bottom of the image display and it is important information.

If this really bugs you, then maybe you should think about using a more automatic camera like a nice P&S camera, where that information is irrelevant and could not be modified even if you wanted.

I suggest you pay attention to what that data is telling you and use it to enhance your photography skills.

As a pro, I'm always checking that data to make sure that I'm using the settings I want hand have not accidentally changed the shutter speed, lens aperture, ISO, white balance or shooting mode.

See page 98 in your manual. Depressing the up/down multi selector buttons will cycle you through the various view modes.

You should, at a minimum, have the highlights mode selected so you can clearly see overexposed areas (overexposed areas will blink). Another handy mode is the RGB histogram. Having no information is an unwise choice unless you're doing a casual review of images.

You want to avoid having overexposed images as texture is removed and/or colors will be off. Small areas, like reflections and bits of clouds, are ok to leave overexposed if they don't detract from the image. Blown out foreheads look terrible.
