How to keep self timer on for more than one picture using a NIKON D3000?

I have a Nikon D3000, and i hate that i have to go back to the main menu and select self timer after every picture i try to take… Is there a way to keep the option on until i choose to remove it?

Apart from getting a new camera, no, not really.

Bummer yes. That's what you get with an entry-level camera. Get a wireless remote. It's cheaper than buying a new camera.

Nope, my Canon 1000D is the same. I don't mind though because I'm virtually always behind it and I use the self timer for time exposure work.

Yes, stupid design, mine does the same. It's quite annoying.
