How to factory restore my Nikon D40 camera?

I lost the manual during my most recent move. A 'friend' changed and messed with a lot of the settings and now it doesn't perform well, or even good, at all. I've tried the two button approach, but still not performing correctly. I can't recall where the other reset button is located. Please Help! New grandbaby due anytime and I want great pics again!

You don't realize that Nikon has a website, like every other company in the world? I have the manuals for 6 digital cameras, 3 cell phones, a portable spyware app and two wireless printers on an old 1 GB flash drive. It's not even half full yet.
